What has happened to this school year? It has flown by!
I am relaxing at home today before a doctor's appointment, listening to the rain. The dogs really would like to go outside... we may need to brave it soon.
Later on, I am meeting up with a friend to catch up. We will be heading over to my favorite store, Anthropologie, and getting some dinner at Bahama Breeze!
My to do list continues to grow... 1. Sort pictures for DVD and memory books. 2. Print pictures for memory books. 3. Complete memory books and DVD. 4. Mother's Day Projects 5. My own Mother Day and Mother-in-Law Mother's Day Projects 6. End-of-Year thank yous 7. Finish kindergarten fish craft for Kindergarten play 8. Organize classroom materials for new reading series 9. Teach standards and get grades for end of year 10. Conferences, 11. What am I forgetting?? After this week, my students will have 17 days left of school! I think needing a few kindergarten assistants will be helpful, especially if they are anything like my current one. She is wonderful!
Last summer, I joined a couple of summer reading blogs- one on Kindergarten Daily 5 and the other on writing. I missed out on joining the math ones that had already happened. I haven't seen any new postings about starting one, and I'm keeping my eye out. I wouldn't mind starting one, just not sure what I want to delve deeper with. I have the CAFE book to read. I have a math book to read. I would love to reread my Conscious Discipline book. Any ideas of books that you may want to see being read and shared about on blogs?
Also, on my bucket list, I will be heading over to St. Louis with my mom to visit my sister and her famly in their new home!! I plan to craft more. I will also be going to the beach with friends. Looking forward to a less demanding schedule with more relax time. I already have 3 summer workshops on my calendar... not so tough, when I don't have many responsibilities.

I teach Kindergarten too!! And Oh! My! there is still a lot to do. Any extra assistants you round up you could send my way. We have 26 days left. Tried to an alphabet project today that kind-of crashed and burned. No time for messed up days.
ReplyDeleteI am joining a book study on the Book Whisperer. We Read, We Blog, We Teach is hosting it. I loved the book in third grade and would like to find out how to make it work in Kindergarten.
