I'm a 3rd grade teacher and we just switched to Go Math this year.

ThanksSmarkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01249757423134010816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5554266180345530914.post-73285164228052947042014-03-23T20:45:49.909-04:002014-03-23T20:45:49.909-04:00Gwen, thanks for participating in my book study! It seems like you have learned what Daily 5 is, and you make it work for you (and your students). Just like you, I struggle to make my math block effective and (dare I say it...fun). We just started using Everyday Math last year, and we needed to follow it exactly. This year, I played around with having some sort of "math station" time during the last part of the block. I just started using Math Daily 3 (from the Daily 5 book). I love it, and my students are using it successfully. I'm learning as I go, though.
Thanks again for joining. I think I finally figured out how to set up a link-up where you can put your blog thumbnail (for the next post).
-Jen
That First Grade BlogAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10754666670284458363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5554266180345530914.post-70843915242882061732014-03-23T18:55:09.801-04:002014-03-23T18:55:09.801-04:00Yay, I'm so glad you are participating in the ...Yay, I'm so glad you are participating in the book study! Love your ideas and input! Our district uses My Sidewalks on Reading Street for intervention. However, we do not use Reading Street (or any product fro that matter) in the classroom. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on Reading Street. And I totally agree with you that one product does not meet every learner's needs. :)
Wendy
Read With Me ABCMrs. Arentzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12087049392614501373noreply@blogger.com
